As a highly versatile touring bike, the Bridge Club hits the sweet spot that separates on- and off-road excursions. The simplistic design makes it fully adept to handle a full rack and pannier setup, frame bags, or any combination of the two. If you’re feeling a little zesty on your next road tour, you won’t be ill-prepared for reroutes through the woods. The Bridge Club is designed to handle it all. - 100% Surly Chromoly frame, main triangle is double-butted; 1-1/8" threadless Chromoly fork - Rack, fender, and four sets of three-pack mounts - Disc brake-specific, single-position vertical rear dropout makes it less intimidating than other bikes in the category - Clearance for 700 x 47mm (with or without fenders) or 27.5 x 2.8" tires (27.5 x 2.6" with fenders)

Bridge Club is a highly versatile touring bike that perfectly hits the sweet spot, spanning on- and off-road excursions. Bridge Club is for those multi-surface outings — planned or unplanned. We've all run out the clock on a dirt tour and had to add in some paved shortcuts. Conversely, when you’re feeling a little zesty on your next road tour, Bridge Club is ready for reroutes through the woods. Some people hear "bike touring" and immediately think of long-forgotten stretches of highway, small-town oddities, and roadside attractions. Some instantly recall desolate stretches of desert dirt roads or lush green forest trails. With Bridge Club, you can have your dessert and eat it too! - Ultra-focused on simplicity, it only has the barnacles that matter most to the discerning bike tourist - Two build kit options: Pavement (700c) and Off-Road (27.5-inch) - Run racks and panniers, framebags, or all of the above - Disc brake-specific, single position, vertical rear dropout makes it less intimidating than other bikes in the category - Clearance for 700 x 47mm tires (with or without fenders), 27.5 x 2.80 tires (27.5 x 2.60 with fenders), and 26 x 3.0 tires (26 x 2.80 with fenders)

The Marin Gestalt is a great choice: very speedy and well made, versatile enough for day to day commuting and even a loaded tour here and there. The Gestalts are speedy, aluminum frame all-road bikes with Tiagra groupsets and disc brakes. They're designed primarily for endurance riding so are durable and have all the mounts you need for gear, as well as a slightly more upright stance for comfort on day-long rides on pavement and/or gravel. Unlike some of the more rugged gravel bikes out there, the Gestalts skew towards more classic road geometry and spec, so they're light and quick daily commuter bikes too.

Which to choose: speed or storage space? You can have both with a Hook. With an able steel frame and carbon fork, this bike is fast and versatile. Size-matched 650B or 700C wheels across the sizes provide control and comfort, while the Shimano GRX groupset and double crankset give you a close ratio with a broad range of gears. Take your pick from a range of fixing points, including a direct mount for a top tube bag, triple cage mounts, rear rack and fender. Or, leave it stripped back and fly. The Hook might have been designed as a gravel racer, but that doesn’t stop it from also being a perfect tourer, commuter, or even summer-season crossbike.
